Once owned by the reclusive heiress to the Winchester Rifle fortune who was influenced by a fortune-teller who predicted Winchester would live as long as she continued building her home. Construction proceeded around the clock, by some accounts, without interruption, until her death on September 5, 1922.
We don’t want to give to much away, however, be sure to visit the 160-room architectural structure which combines Victorian style with hundreds of unexplained features and haunted by ghosts including Sarah Winchester herself.
